Sources: Packers place WR Reed on IR due to neck injury (0:50)
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed will undergo season-ending neck surgery and be placed on injured reserve, coach Matt LaFleur said Wednesday.
"God will use the unusual to do the unexpected... 11 out," Reed posted to Instagram.
Reed, who signed a three-year, $50.25 million contract extension in April, has four receptions for 24 yards in two games this season.
He suffered his neck injury in the Packers' Week 2 overtime victory over the New York Jets.
A second-round pick of the Packers in 2023, he has 142 catches for 1,881 yards and 18 total touchdowns in his career.
