Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter India, Fahadh Faasil stated, “Maareesan, I initially heard it as a Malayalam movie. I used to be planning a Malayalam film at that time, and that’s once I heard this. Once we bought into the casting and all, I stated that we wanted somebody like Vadivelu sir for this film.”
“After these discussions, the producer got here to us. He’s already a Tamil producer and requested why we aren’t making this in Tamil itself. Nevertheless, my solely situation was, if we had been doing it in Tamil, it needed to be with Vadivelu sir,” Fahadh added.
