Titans reportedly released Jordan Elliott after he fetched gun following scuffle in practice
Defensive lineman had altercation with JC Latham
Titans do not confirm or deny reports around firearm
Jordan Elliott, the defensive lineman released on Tuesday by the Tennessee Titans, reportedly â went to his car to retrieve a gun after an altercation in practice last â Thursday.
Ordered to leave â the âÂÂfield after a scuffle with right tackle JC Latham, Elliott took off his â pads, left the facility and went to the playersâ lot where security cameras captured the â scene, according to multiple reports from A to Z Sports âÂÂand KPRC2.
Defensive lineman John âÂÂFranklin-Myers reportedly talked âÂÂElliott down and no one was hurt. Elliott did âÂÂnot practice Friday due to âÂÂpersonal reasonsâ and was inactive for SundayâÂÂs 26-20 win against the Indianapolis Colts.
After reviewing the footage, the Titans opted to release the 28-year-old, who had signed a two-year, $8m âÂÂdeal during the offseason.
âÂÂOn Thursday 15 October, there was an incident at our team âÂÂfacility involving Jordan Elliott,â the Titans said in a statement. âÂÂFollowing our review of the incident, we have made the decision to release Elliott from our roster. We will â have no further comment on the matter.âÂÂ
Elliott appeared âÂÂin the âÂÂfirst five games of the season for the Titans. He has also played for the Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers since the Browns picked him in the third round of the 2020 draft.
