âÂÂSpeaking to the owners, to the sporting directors and obviously the manager, they gave me a lot of â confidence so it was â only right to sign,â Palmer said. âÂÂSpeaking to players as well, everyone has the same ambitions.

Chelsea boss Alonso says Palmer is committed to England
Earlier on Friday, Chelsea â manager Xabi â Alonso insisted Palmer âÂÂremains committed to playing for England after the attacker drew criticism for missing the recent international break due to injury.
Palmer, â left out of EnglandâÂÂs World Cup squad this year after a persistent groin injury affected his â form, was called up by Thomas Tuchel for Nations League fixtures against Spain, Czechia and Croatia.
However, Palmer was forced to pull out of the squad due âÂÂto a recurrence of the issue, with Tuchel saying the midfielder âÂÂmisses too many opportunitiesâ to play in an England shirt.
Asked about TuchelâÂÂs comments, Alonso told reporters: âÂÂThe most important thing for Cole is to be fully fit, that he â enjoys his game, that he is â feeling OK.
âÂÂWhenever he is not, like in the Brentford game, we could see that he was struggling. HeâÂÂs committed but he needs â to be fully fit to play. We need him â the club and â the national team,â the Spaniard â added.
âÂÂNow heâÂÂs fine. HeâÂÂs been feeling better this week. We use the âÂÂfirst two weeks for him to recover. ItâÂÂs a little bit from the pubalgia (groin injury) he had.âÂÂ
