At least 11 people have been killed and 30 others were wounded in a suicide bombing at a roadside police checkpoint in northwestern Pakistan, police told Al Jazeera.
At least seven security personnel were among the dead and 20 others were among the wounded in the attack on Saturday in the Dera Ismail Khan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, police said.
Armed group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (the Pakistan Taliban or TTP) claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement.
