‘Stranger Things’ Series Finale Runtime Revealed as Tickets Go on Sale for Theatrical Screenings – 8881199.XYZ

If you were looking to catch the final episode of Netflix’s Stranger Things in theaters, we have got great news for you. The tickets for the screenings are already on sale, and you can check the official site to find out if your nearest multiplex will screen the episode, which will run for more than two hours. Given Netflix’s reliance on the streaming model, the screening of a TV episode on the big screen sounds rare – especially for a Netflix original show. However, this strategy just underscores how massive Stranger Things has become in terms of popular culture and cult following.

As announced on Netflix Tudum, the final episode will have a runtime of two hours and five minutes – 125 minutes of Stranger Things bliss, and the last ever episode of the beloved series. The series finale, titled “The Rightside Up,” is the only one that will be playing in theaters on December 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026. Creators Matt and Ross Duffer recently said the following about the opportunity to bring the epic conclusion to the big screen:

“We’re beyond excited that fans will have the chance to experience the final episode of Stranger Things in theaters — it’s something we’ve dreamed about for years, and we’re so grateful to Ted [Sarandos], Bela [Bajaria], and everyone at Netflix for making it happen. Getting to see it on the big screen, with incredible sound, picture, and a room full of fans, feels like the perfect — dare we say b*tchin’ — way to celebrate the end of this adventure.”

Episode 8 will be the final entry of the Netflix series, as part 1, consisting of four episodes, premiered on November 26, and part 2, consisting of three episodes, will premiere on Christmas Day. Last week, the show broke a major record for Netflix, as all previous seasons had landed in the top 10 list of most popular shows on the streamer. Unsurprisingly, at the moment, it is the most watched show on the platform worldwide.

‘Stranger Things’ Finale Will Screen in Theaters at the Same Time It Becomes Available on Netflix

The fifth and final season of the Netflix phenomenon Stranger Things sees the Hawkins gang fighting the almighty villain Vecna one last time. After the events in Season 4, the group led by the “kids who aren’t really kids anymore” is trying to find the monster inside the Upside Down. However, a military presence in their town points to a nefarious plan that will have the entity who used to be Henry Creel seeking a new group of victims with renewed power.
