Games included the first humanoid robot 100-metre sprint, won by Beijing’s “Tiangong” in 21.50 seconds, and a 5v5 football final where Tsinghua University’s Huoshen Team beat Germany’s HTVK+Nao Devils 1-0. Hangzhou-based Unitree Robotics won four gold medals in running events.
At the closing ceremony, organisers launched the World Humanoid Robot Sports Federation and confirmed that Beijing will host the second edition of the Games in August next year.
