Virginia Tech stated Saturday it’s investigating allegations by North Carolina Central coach Trei Oliver {that a} Hokies employees member tried to get his star working again to switch to the ACC faculty.

Oliver was one among 5 coaches of North Carolina soccer packages who took half Friday in The Invoice Dooley Pigskin Preview in Raleigh. With new Tar Heels coach Invoice Belichick on his proper, Oliver informed the story of a Virginia Tech staffer being on the sideline throughout NC Central’s 26-3 win over Howard on Nov. 15.

Oliver stated the working again went on to switch to Virginia. Whereas he didn’t identify the participant, graduate switch J’Mari Taylor is now on Virginia’s roster.

Virginia Tech, in a press release launched Saturday, stated Oliver had not reported the potential tampering to the college.

“That is the primary time the difficulty has been dropped at our consideration, and no concern has beforehand been shared with us by way of any formal channel,” the assertion learn. “Virginia Tech takes all NCAA guidelines critically and is dedicated to conducting our program with integrity. We’re reviewing the matter internally and can deal with any findings appropriately.”

“Thank God he went to UVA,” Oliver stated, making it clear he can be rooting for the Cavaliers after they meet the Hokies within the regular-season finale on Nov. 29.
